this could be enough to prove
what lies beneath our hearts
drown us into the sea
and there’s no one care to believe

just make sure
those are not your last breaths
’cause I’ll tell you everything
it’s everything

of course
it’s about what you were thought
it’s about butterflies
it’s about our December

bzzzt…

“hey, Dad. have Mom ever visited this place?”, seorang gadis kecil berusia 6 tahun berambut pirang bertanya lugu pada ayahnya.

“of course, Aisha. once day she was a chef in a restaurant of this building”, sang ayah menjawab sambil tersenyum.

“wow! I imagined how yummy her cooking was! not like yours! haha”, mata gadis kecil itu terbuka lebar. tersenyum lebar sembari menggoda ayahnya.

“exactly…”, di antara senyumnya, tatapan mata sang ayah merautkan sebuah kepedihan. teramat dalam.

drrrrtttt…

kepedihan apakah itu?

Saya tahu, mudik dan off-roading adalah dua hal yang berbeda. Tapi saya benar-benar merasakan bahwa mudik tahun ini adalah sekaligus off-roading. Mau tahu ceritanya? Selamat membaca…

*oh yes, I’m back from hiatus! ^^

“This is why I turn and walk away from everything”
I never thought it’d be like this

Lonely along the way
Something set us off into the wrong direction
but within this particular space
Time goes to waste.

Been there, done that
Got the admirations when I was still young
As I withered and weathered,
they no longer care to take a second look
I’ve been through all…

cahayanya berpijar menyilaukan
mengubah malam menjadi siang

serbuk bintangnya memenuhi langit malam
meninggalkan jejaknya yang berkilauan

menembus kabut-kabut yang sunyi
membekas dalam sedihnya hati

Udara dingin menusuk tulang
Membangunkanku di pagi buta itu
2:25 am
Sekitar 1,5 jam menjelang Fajr waktu Manhattan

Kudekati jendela apartemenku
Jalanan masih hidup
Harlem dipenuhi deru mesin
Benar-benar kota yang tak pernah mati

di musim panas yang panjang…

I don’t even know what love is
I have lost my heart for many years

as you left me at a cliff nearby
and let me flown over the autumn sky

when time erased our memories
when tears are turned into diamonds

Once upon a time,
there was a monster living
at the gates of a village.
It was a very scary
and a very bad monster.
It would catch people
and crunch them up
with its big teeth.

The villagers were afraid of the monster,
and no one would dare approach the gates.
Everyone was stuck inside the village.

When the king heard about this,
he summoned his knights.
The knights eagerly rode out
to defeat the monster.

…were they able to defeat the monster?
